Rules for having ideas.

There are no rules when it comes to ideas.

All rules are made to be broken.

Having ideas should always be fun.

Sometimes it seems easy. Sometimes it doesn’t.

Always bounce off someone else. It’s too hard in your own head.

Talk to smart people who don’t think like you do.

Fill up. You can’t think on an empty tank.

Be a sponge. Soak up everything. And more.

Keep stuff. Jottings. Drawings. Clippings. Stuff.

Get up. Move. Walk. Jump. Do something different.

Beware of good ideas. Be challenged by bad ones.

Don’t trust any idea until you’ve seen it naked.

Anyone can have ideas. Not all of them are genius.

Your first idea can’t be the best until it’s judged against others.

Even if you thought it up, it may not be original.

Park it and percolate. Reiterate and repeat.

Execution isn’t an idea. It’s craft.

Chaos creates. Silence cements.

Truth prevails.
